Zoom.in is a pretty slick webservice for photosharing & printing that has recently launched out of the US. Targeted at Indians (residents & NRIs), it’s model is best described as ‘Flickr meets Shutterfly’. The webapp has a brilliant GUI design and you can upload photos (or import them from Flickr or Picassa), create albums, share with friends, order prints and have them couriered them across to any address in the US or India. In terms of core functionality, it is similar to other Indian photosharing websites (iTasveer, MeraSnap, Picsquare, Printo, Fotokraze etc); one small difference I noticed is its greater focus on viral propagation of the albums- to blogs, websites, by email etc. Their pricing is almost identical to what other services are charging. Future plans include a broad array of printed gift items and forging alliances with social networks to provide photo printing and fulfillment services to their members.

This space already has lots of players, but that hasn’t deterred ZoomIn’s founder-CEO Sunny Balijepalli in trying to make this his Next Big Thing (he earlier co-founder of Half.com, which sold to eBay for $350 million in 2000). ZoomIn believes that with that success behind them, they know how to build world-class Internet services.
The photosharing & printing space in India looks more cluttered than ever before, now with a successful US based serial entrepreneur throwing in his hat in the ring. Perceived differences amongst the various players are low; value additions (to the core service) are likely to decide which ones will stand out the most.
I used PICSQUARE services, and they are really satisfactory, print quality is excellent, and delivered soon to your doorstep, they have a offer running now days use Coupon Code: PICFORUM, and get 25 Free Photo Prints at your doorstep….I used there services more than 5 times..and they are excellent.
Hurrah! so enjoy such a good service…..
I’ve used both PICSQUARE and ZoomIn, but print quality in ZoomIn is supreme and uncomparable to that of PICSQUARE. I really like one cool thing in ZoomIn which is their Embed Slideshow which I can put in my blog or scrapbook. So just go ahead and checkout this cool site..

hmmm…well I would’nt want to sound prejudiced, but I think there are a lot more players who are doing quite well for themselves in a market as diverse as India. For those few of them who’ve just discovered the miracle of online printing, i’d recommend clicking on http://www.gkvale.com. I sure was hooked!! G.K.Vale did my diaper days and now its doing my Uni years. 🙂
Oh, and did not know about it. Thanks for the information …
really this site is very cool. print quality is very very good .if u have good quality of photos the prints will be very good.
I am one of the few netizens who enjoyed benefits of zoomin right from the beginning. What attracted me is the wide range of products…from Calenders, Greeting Cards to Collage Posters now. The quality of printing is excellent. Another noticable factor is fixed shipping cost throughtout india (rs 25) irrespective of the order content. I wish zoomin all success in future…
Zoomin Service is Very Bad.I got 6 of the prints with grains.I even Send it back as requested by them.To my suprise they send it back and send me another coupon.I won’t recommend Zoomin.I found that Snapfish is far better.
