IndiaJeetega…brilliant World Cup promotional website from itasveer

Itasveer (profiled earlier on Webyantra) has created a promotional website for the Indian Cricket Team playing the World Cup. Its titled IndiaJeetega, and using it you can make an online postcard to wish the team. The webapp stitches together a photo mosaic using all the user created postcards and this mosaic will later be sent to the Indian team, in what Itasveer says is “a word record attempt at the largest fanmail online photomosaic ever“. You can refer the contest to your friends, and the person making the maximum referrals stands to wins an Ipod.

This is a well timed promotional event to cash in on the World Cup frenzy. While the idea itself is fairly common (for most Indian companies, the World Cup is a once in four year marketing/advertsing bonanza), the website’s design is awesome. This is the interface for creating your postcards. It is built on top of Itasveer’s doodle application; it is smartly ajaxified, has some useful features (like layering) and is very nifty in usage. And you can’t miss the Sidhuism popups that flash at you while the ajaxian pages load.

What might be the spoiler is India’s erractic form in the World Cup. Should India crash out after today’s match with Sri Lanka, the promo would lose its steam. Not much that one can do about it. Let us all join the iTasveer team in wishing the Indian Team a smooth sailing into the Super 8 stage !!

Here’s a screenshot of the photomosaic…

Team India did not live upto the expectations of all the websites which appeared recently and were centered around the concept of cricket worldcup …

    Hard luck ITasveer 🙁

    IndianPad,

I wasn’t late but yes, the objective of the exercise was in vain, thanks to our cricket team.

    Itasveer,

My heart goes out for you, the saving grace is that you are not alone in this, there are hundreds of companies like you cursing the cricketers ..

Well what can one do! :D. We’re trying to spin indiajeetega.com into something ‘apt’ right now. We just put too much effort in it to let it die like that. I’ll post the news here as soon as we’re done.
